Telling a witch the truth or not...

Kira sat on her front steps, sighing lightly. She wondered to herself as she looked out to the forest. She didn't understand why her mother wanted to live in the middle of a huge forest that was a good long way from any town or city. She didn't really care yet she did want to know why, yet she never asked.

She closed her dark maroon eyes as she let out another side. "What to do?" She asked softly to herself. She lightly started to play her a lock of her long wavy dark blue hair. She wore a dark green shirt, jean skirt and black boots. On her lap was a big book that was about demons and spirits.

Behind her, was their 'pet' fox. He lived with Kira and her mother since Kira was only 3 years old yet he has just to let the young girl know of what he was. Sadly her mother knew and didn't mind. He watched her a bit before walking over a bit and press his nose against the back of her neck that showed.

She jumped lightly and turned around with a light glare. "Damn it, Ren. I told you not to do that."

He smirked lightly then licked her softly on the nose, making her blink.

She pressed her hand over her nose as her cheeks turned a light pink. "Go away, fox." She said softly. She didn't know why but she knew he was flirting yet he was just a fox to her and she wasn't into animals.

Ren tilted his head slightly to the right as his ears lowed lightly.

Kira sighed lightly and reached over, pressing her hand against the silver fur of his head. "I'm sorry but I'm not in the mood for you." With that said, she grabbed her book and stood up. She then walked into the house and went to her room, passing her mother as she walked.

Lyra watched her daughter walk by with a soft blushline and smiled lightly. She shook her head softly, making her short black hair move and walked outside in the front. "Ren, did you flirt with her again?" She asked the silver fox softly.

Ren nodded and smirked. "Yea since she's so easy to turn red."

She sighed softly. "But she only thinks of you as a normal fox. Not as a nine tail fox demon that you are."

He sighed lightly as his ears twitched lightly. "Guessing you want me to tell her?"

She smiled softly and nodded. "Yes. It's better for her to know since she has yet to notice her own powers."

"Young witches are like that. But since she got question things, I think it might be best to tell her as well." He said softly with a soft sigh. Telling the young witch like Kira about what he is won't be fun and he knew it. He stood up and walked around Lyra as he went inside. He thought about how to tell her as he softly walked to Kira's room.

Kira sat on her full sized bed that was covered with black and purple designs, reading her big book. "How to tell if a fox is a demon or not..." She said as she read over the title. She didn't notice the silver furred fox siting in the doorway to her room. Yet she did notice something was wrong. She looked up from her book and over at the fox. "What is it?"

Ren let out a sigh and walked over to her room. He opened and closed his mouth, still thinking of how to tell her. "Kira..." He said lightly.

She eyed him a bit then sighed. "So you're a talking fox. That answers a few questions."

He shook his head lightly. "No... I'm what you are reading of."

"Demon?" She asked softly.

Ren nodded. "Fox demon."

Kira blinked a few times. "Really?"

He eyed her then stood up and walked out of the room. He knew it, telling her something like that after all of these years, he couldn't do it. He ended up walking out to the forest to shift to his human form. Long silver hair, golden cat like eyes, nine silver tails, two silver fox ears and dressed in a white kimono. "I knew she wouldn't believe me..." He said to himself as he wondered around.

Lyra walked up behind him and softly pulled his soft hair. "So you really did try to tell her, huh?"

Ren turned around and sighed. "Yea.. but how can one tell a girl who knew you as a normal fox for so long?" He asked softly.

She thought a bit. She knew that her daughter was slow but how slow can she be, she wondered. She then smiled sweetly. "Why not show her this form?"

He eyed her with a soft glare. "Do you want your daughter to be scared of foxes?"

She kept her soft smile. "Oh it wouldn't hurt her. She does love your tail and in this form, you have nine of them."

"So you want to get me hurt?" He asked with a soft sigh.

She thought a bit then smiled. "Stay here and I'll go tell Kira to come here." She said, walking away. She didn't wait on his reply and went into the house. She went to Kira's room and opened the door. "Kira dear?"

"Yes, Mother?" Kira asked as she sighed and closed her book. She wasn't going to finish her book and she knew it.

Lyra smiled sweetly at her daughter. "I need you to go into the forest to the west. I want you to look for a man with long silver hair."

"Why?"

She blinked lightly then smiled again. "He might be interesting."

Kira nodded and got off her bed. "Alright." With that, she walked outside. She looked around a bit then walked off to the west area. Walking into the forest, she should something moving a few feet away. She walked over and blinked lightly. "Nine tails..?"

Ren jumped lightly and turned to her then let out a light sigh. "Yes Kira. I have nine tails."

She blinked lightly and walked over as she reached out and touched one of the tails. "Soft... So Ren is a fox demon..."

He sighed to her softly then smirked lightly. "Yes. I'm a nine tails fox demon. And you get to play with eight more tails now."

She smiled lightly as she petted the soft tail. "Yay, more softish." She then looked up at him. "Is this what you were trying to tell me in my room?"

He nodded.

"I see." She said softly then smiled sweetly. "Will you willy let me play with your tails when I'm bored?"

He eyed her then sighed. "Sure..." He said softly. 'She is so simple...' He thought as she grabbed his hand and pulled him to the house.
